Add the RetURN.org badge to your website

The RetURN.org ID Partner badge tells families that the urns you provide come with a permanent RetURN.org ID. It is free for approved partners, and adding it takes a few minutes.

Get your badge code.

Your badge code is in the partner portal. It is ready to paste and already links to RetURN.org.

  1. Sign in to the partner portal.
  2. Open the Organization tab and scroll to Website badge.
  3. Choose the light or the dark badge, whichever suits your website’s background.
  4. Select Copy code.

The code looks like this. Copy yours from the portal rather than this example: your copy tells us which partner sent each visitor.

<a href="https://return.org/?utm_source=partner-badge&..." target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img src="https://return.org/assets/return-org-partner-badge-light.svg" width="260" height="80" alt="RetURN.org ID Partner"></a>

Paste it into your website.

Most website builders have a place for a piece of HTML. Paste the code there and publish the page.

WordPress
Edit the page, add a Custom HTML block, and paste the code into it. For your footer, add the same block to the footer widget area or template.
Squarespace
Edit the page, add a Code block, and paste the code into it.
Wix
Select Add Elements, then Embed Code, then Embed HTML, and paste the code into it.
Someone else runs your website
Many funeral home websites are managed by the company that hosts them. Email them the code and ask them to add it where you want it. It is a routine request.
You can only upload images
Select Download SVG in the portal, upload the badge as an image, and link it to https://return.org/.

Where it helps most.

Put it where families are reading about cremation and what comes after.

  • Your cremation services page
  • Your urns or merchandise page
  • Your pre-planning page
  • Your website’s footer, so it appears on every page

Using the badge.

  • Use it as supplied. Do not change the colors or wording, or redraw it.
  • You can make it larger or smaller, as long as it keeps its proportions. Keep it at least 180 pixels wide so the words stay readable.
  • Keep it linked to RetURN.org, so families who select it can see what the ID is.
  • The badge is for approved RetURN.org partners. If your organization stops taking part, please take it down.

Frequently asked questions

Does the badge cost anything?

No. It is free for every approved partner.

I don’t see the badge in my portal.

The badge appears once RetURN.org has approved your organization. If your portal says your organization is waiting for approval, it will appear when that is done. If you are approved and still do not see it, contact us.

Where does the badge take families?

To the RetURN.org home page, which explains what the RetURN.org ID is and what families can do with cremated remains.

Will it slow my website down?

No. The badge is a single small image of about 2 KB, with no scripts or tracking code.
